1. Assistant Professor: 10posts Qualification: (a) Master (FG) Certificate of Competency and (b) Sailing experience * of six months at Management level within the meaning of STCW Convention in force. (or) A Master`s degree in related subjects with atleast 55% marks 2. Associate Professor: 06posts Qualification: (a) Master (FG) Certificate of Competency and (b) Sailing experience * of two years ** at Management level within the meaning of STCW Convention in force and (c) Seven years of experience in teaching/industry/ship board in marine related fields. (or) Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or with 55% marks at Master’s Degree in the related subjects and experience of eight years in teaching, research and / or relevant industry at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree 3. Professor: 04posts Qualification: (a) Extra Masters Certificate and (b) Sailing experience * of two years ** at Management level within the meaning of STCW Convention in force and (c) Ten years experience in teaching /Industry/ship board in marine related fields. (or) A Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or with 55% marks at Master’s Degree in the related subjects and experience of ten years in teaching, research and / or relevant industry, out of which at least five years at the level of Associate Professor/ or equivalent grade Marine Engineering: 20posts 1. Assistant Professor: 10posts Qualification: (a) MEO Class I Certificate of Competency and (b) Sailing experience * of six months ** at Management level as within the meaning of STCW Convention in force. (or) A Master`s degree in related subjects with atleast 55% marks 2. Associate Professor: 06posts Qualification: (a) MEO Class I Certificate of Competency and (b) Sailing experience * of two years ** at Management level within the meaning of STCW Convention in force and (c) Seven years of experience in teaching/industry/ ship board in marine related fields. (or) Ph.D Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or with 55% marks at Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering & Technology and experience of eight years in teaching, research and / or industry at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree 3. Professor: 04posts Qualification: (a) Extra First Class Engineer Certificate / PGDMOM and (b) Sailing experience of two years at Management level within the meaning of STCW Convention in force and (c) Ten years experience in teaching /Industry/ship board in marine related fields.
